About Us
Founded in 2014 in Adelaide, South Australia, Talk Psychology & Counselling provides psychology services to adults, adolescents, children, couples and families for a wide range of concerns. Offering professional, compassionate and evidence based therapy, Talk Psychology & Counselling are passionate about ensuring all people, regardless of location, mobility or circumstances, have access to high quality clinical psychology services and treatment.
Our Principal Clinical Psychologist, Carole Simpson, has been providing individual psychological therapy to patients since 2006 and prior to this, worked in government positions with children, families, and adults with histories of trauma and abuse, and serious mental health concerns.
She completed a Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of South Australia, and is registered as a full and current member of the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA) division of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Carole is a full Member of the Australian Psychological Society, Fellow of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists (FCCLP), a Board Approved Supervisor and a registered provider of services through Medicare Australia, private health insurers and WorkCover.
Carole has completed training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy, Neuropsychotherapy & Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and utilises and tailors these techniques to working toward her clients’ needs and goals.
