Do I need to be in a rural area to book a Telephone or video-conference session?

No. Anyone can book a telephone or video-conference session with us and are very suitable for:

  • Individuals who have mobility issues or physical hurdles

  • Rural clients who may have travel and time restrictions to accessing a Clinical Psychologist but also may feel anxious about speaking with someone within their local community

  • Those unsure about attending face to face with a psychologist and would prefer to speak to someone from their own home

  • Parents with limited childcare/support to attend an appointment without their child but regularly have sleep times they are free to talk but house bound

  • People with demanding work schedules and travel time constraints but that a one hour telephone session can be managed within other obligations without delaying the need for help

  • Fly-in fly-out (FIFO) workers who cannot commit to a regular attendance of sessions due to their work, but can undertake telephone and online sessions regularly regardless of their location at the time of the appointment

  • Individuals with severe conditions that telephone and online sessions can reduce symptoms enough to prepare them to attend regularly with another suitable service we can support them to transition.
