Carole Simpson is the Principal Clinical Psychologist and Certified Gottman Therapist at Talk Psychology and Counselling. With over 15 years experience working as a psychologist, Carole is passionate about improved mental health and healthy relationships.
Carole holds a Master of Psychology (Clinical), full and current membership of the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA) division of the Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), is a Fellow of the Australian Psychological Society (FAPS), Fellow of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists (FCCLP), PBA Approved Supervisor for Clinical Registrar Program, 4+2 Internship, Clinical Higher Degree Program and the APS College of Clinical Psychologists and is a registered provider of services for Medicare Australia & Private Health Insurers.
Carole has completed training Levels 1, 2 & 3 Gottman Method Couples Therapy, specialised Trauma, Affairs and Addiction recovery in couples therapy training, & has successfully met The Gottman Institute supervised Certification Program requirements to be one of under 450 Certified Gottman Couples Therapists in the world.
She also utilises her training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion Focussed Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, to assist her clients to achieve their therapeutic goals.
